Mike Nassau, retired geneticist, teacher and librarian

Retired Geneticist, Librarian and Teacher, Salinas, California

I was a substitute teacher for the Salinas Union High School District from September, 2006, to August, 2012. I had a stroke in August, 2012, which finally forced me into complete retirement.

I taught high school in Dripping Springs, Texas; Croydon, England; Luwingu, Zambia and Monze, Zambia for a total of nine years.  Mostly mathematics, some chemistry and some religion.  I have done graduate study and research in genetics (population or statistical genetics, animal science/dairy science).  See my proposal for a synthetic dairy breed for the hot tropics,  http://butanasahiwal.webs.com/

Later, I worked in libraries and retired as a librarian. I got my B.A. in zoology from the University of Texas, 1960, M.Ag. in animal science from the University of Florida, 1980, and M.L.S. in library science from the University of South Florida, 1992.
